JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) – by Roslyn Anderson, Weekend Anchor
They were Decking the Halls and packing the aisles during the final day of Mistletoe Marketplace.
The Junior League of Jackson transforms the Mississippi Trade Mart, for the 36th year, into a spectacular holiday event including Santa and much more.
The three days of shopping kick off the holiday season here in the metro.
150 vendors from across the country sell unique gift items.
Officials said typically there are about 40,000 Mistletoe visitors.
“Every cent that you spend on admission goes straight toward the mission of the Junior League of Jackson which supports 30 community projects right here in our town”, said Junior League Communications Vice President Gene Wright. “So you can feel really good about the shopping you can do. Vendors can feel really good about getting involved as well”.
Last year, Mistletoe Marketplace raised $1.2 million dollars.
