A Message from the Fund Development VP

To support the efforts and mission of our organization, the Junior League of Jackson (JLJ) operates two fund development businesses, Mistletoe Marketplace and Touch A Truck® Jackson, and an endowment fund, Keystone Fund. All funds raised through the League’s fund development businesses directly support the mission of the Junior League of Jackson, which includes more than 30 community projects and initiatives. Further, our fundraising efforts provide resources for our two signature projects: the Children’s Cancer Center at Children’s of Mississippi Hospital and the Mississippi Children’s Museum.

Each of our fund development businesses is planned and supported by exceptional volunteers who, like all of the members of our League, are dedicated to the League’s mission of advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. The 2023-2024 league year promises to be another exciting one for our fund development businesses!

Mistletoe Marketplace is the Junior League of Jackson’s largest fund development business and the South’s premier annual holiday shopping experience. Mistletoe Marketplace is a regional draw for merchants and shoppers and, for many, signals the beginning of an exciting and fun holiday season.

Touch A Truck® Jackson, a fundraiser and community project, is a family-friendly, hands-on event that offers opportunities for children to explore, climb, and touch trucks, emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery, and other equipment. Children also meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build our community.

The League’s endowment fund, the Keystone Fund, was created to ensure that funding exists to support the work of the Junior League of Jackson. Donating to the Keystone Fund is the perfect gift for the person with everything. Ultimately, the goal is to grow the fund to be substantial enough to support our efforts in the event of a decline or shortfall in fundraising.

These fund development businesses all provide the monetary resources needed to increase our community outreach efforts and provide valuable leadership training for our members, who, on average, donate over 55,000 hours of service annually. Not only do our fund development businesses make measurable impacts through funding our community and mission-critical efforts, but they also have a positive economic impact throughout Mississippi.

We are grateful for the support of our members, community partners, corporate sponsors, and all those who attend our fund development events and contribute to the Keystone Fund. Your continued support is vital to the success of the Junior League of Jackson!
