Day of Service 2023
On January 16, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., the Junior League of Jackson will host a series of half-day service projects in the Jackson metro area. As part of this Day of Service, specifically designed to coincide with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service events nationwide, we invite members, partners, and supporters to join with each other and our shared community through service.
In partnership with Jackson Public Schools, Keep Jackson Beautiful, Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi, Mississippi Families for Kids, Springboard to Opportunities, and Operation Shoestring, this Day of Service was designed to harness the strength that we have in volunteer resources to meet specific needs of our community.
From beautifying a local park to packing critical supplies and educational resources to collecting luggage for foster children and victims of abuse, participants can choose from a variety of opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of our community members, especially children and youth.
