Sustainer Projects

With more than 1,400 Sustainers in our membership, support from our Sustainers significantly strengthens the League’s mission. Additionally, the Junior League of Jackson’s Sustainers contributes to the League’s financial stability, continually offers opportunities for Sustainer development, and meets significant needs in our community through the following community projects:

Feed-A-Family

Sustaining members provided home-cooked meals to families living at the Ronald McDonald House in Jackson. They also spend time with the families and guests, building friendships within the community. For more information, please contact feedafamily@jljackson.org.

Rockin’ Mamas

Sustaining members provide loving, non-medical support to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UMMC’s Winfred L. Wiser Hospital for Women and Infants. Volunteers will embrace and rock infants in the NICU, ensuring each child can be nurtured and given interactive attention. For more information, please contact rockinmamas@jljackson.org.

Joyful Noise

Sustaining members perform tightly woven, energetic musical medleys to tri-county area nursing homes, senior living residents, and memory care facilities. With cheery costumes and tunes, Joyful Noise volunteers share the joy of music and help light up the community of those they serve.  For more information, please contact joyfulnoise@jljackson.org.
