Community Initiatives

The Junior League of Jackson works to meet critical needs in the local community. As an organization founded in service and creating the most potential for community impact, JLJ sponsors the following initiatives that provide members with additional ways to support their community:

Day of Service
(Various Community Partners)

Coinciding with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service in January, the League’s annual Day of Service consists of a series of half-day projects across the city of Jackson. These impactful projects strengthen communities, empower individuals, bridge barriers, and inspire shared solutions.

Junior League Jumble Gives
(Various Community Partners)

Throughout the year, League volunteers collaborate with community partners to host targeted collection drives, such as needed items for foster children, coats for those seeking warmth in the winter, and new uniform pants for Jackson Public School students.
